SAVE OUR EARTH in just an easy step
Nowadays, Global Warming is seriously affecting our Earth. In the past 100 years, the earth’s average temperature has increased by 0.8 °C (1.4 °F) due to greenhouse gas produce by human activities like deforestation & burning of fossil fuels. The increase of global temperature caused the sea level to rise, especially in the Arctic which would be associated with the continuing retreat of glacier. The climate and weather has become more erratic , there are more frequent occurrence of extreme weather like heat wave, drought or flooding from heavy rainfall. This warming may eventually result in the extinction of 25 percent of the world’s species by 2050.
According to the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the sea level has risen 15 to 20 cm in the last 100 years. And in the last 30 years, around 386,000 miles of Arctic sea ice have melted away. If this continues, the Arctic sea ice could probably disappear completely.
Below are video taken from www.arctic.io, showing the Arctic Sea ice melting in 100 days between 30-3-2012 to 08-07-2012. It is especially severe in the Kara Sea area, it became ice free within a few days.

What can we do to help?
We can help to reduce the carbon dioxide emissions by consuming less electricity and energy. Try to turn up your air-conditioner & turn down heater by few degrees & this can help a lot. Using ceiling fans will be a good choice, too! Most ceiling fans use only about as much power as a 60 watt light bulb, it provide a natural energy saving cooling & warming solution.
